CLYMER書P75說汽油油箱的油及油氣回收儲存到活性炭罐當引擎發動後~被虹吸進引擎使用
EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM
On models with an evaporative emission control system,the fuel and fuel vapor in the fuel tank expand due to engine heat and ambient temperature.This fuel vapor is routed into a charcoal canister(Figure 70) and is stored until the engine is started.
When the engine is restarted, the vacuum in the air intake system pulls the fuel vapor from the fuel canister and mixes it with the incoming fresh air, thus burning it in the engine.
There is no routine maintenance for the evaporation emission control system.
Inspect the hoses whenever the fuel tank is removed as described in Chapter Nine.
而Chapter Nine P336說Fuel Tank Removal/Installation 的R1150R部份
根據Charcoal canister管路圖(CLYMER p357),California only,防止tank油氣排放到大氣(引擎停止時油氣在canister,引擎運轉時吸入油氣),所以油箱的兩條橡皮管子是,一條有白色X記號的vapor vent到Charcoal canister回收油氣~即下面「tank bottom」相片左邊那一條(page 353/354),右邊那一條到Overflow fuel line管子是filler neck water drain油箱蓋子溢出雨水用;有白色X記號的vapor vent接自roll-over valve(R1150R Repair Manual p16.6)上方~即「tank bottom」相片左邊那一條 (CLYMER p355圖170不是給R1150R/R850C/R1100S/R1200C其他車型皆可;R1150R要看圖151 R850C/等車型要看圖152到圖154在349頁)。
