MOTOREX CROSS POWER 4T 10W60 for the KTM 690 Single
The newly developed KTM LC4 654 cc single-cylinder engine made its debut in 2007 as the brand new KTM 690 SM. The LC4 is a born-and-bred high-performance engine.
Due to its specific power output, its high engine speed, the wet-sump APTC-anti-hopping clutch as well as the twin oil pumps it sets high standards for its lubricant.
Developed in co-operation with the Austrian motorcycle maker, the Swiss lubricant manufacturer MOTOREX has fulfilled these standards by developing the new Cross Power 4T 10W/60, whose composition and molecular structure perfectly match the technical factors.
The engineers have tailored the new, fully synthetic premium oil entirely to the protection of the coatings inside the engine.
A combination of high-tech additives reliably prevents corrosion, harsh deposits and the accumulation of combustion residues inside the engine. The Cross Power 4T 10W/60 drastically reduces friction between the components, effectively avoids premature wear and ensures a reliable lubricant layer as well as a constantly high oil pressure regardless of the engine speed. It protects bearings, seals and O-rings and features outstanding temperature and shearing stability as well as excellent evaporation resistance (low Noack).
The new MOTOREX Cross Power 4T 10W/60 complies with the API SG and JASO MA standards and is available in 1, 4, and 25 Liter sizes.

Hi, I just puchased a 2008 KTM 690 SMC and am preparing to get my 1st oil change done. It is very difficult to find the Cross Power 4T 10/60 oil at many KTM dealers. However, the Power Synt 4T 10/60 is much easier to find. Is there a genuine difference between these two oils? Thanks, JOHN Yes. There is a genuine difference. The Cross Power is developed for your bike. The Power Synt is developed for GSXR engines. The main difference is that the Cross Power has special additives for the unique coatings of your 690 engine.
